Class Action - Weekend

The acapella of the month October goes to Class Action – Weekend. While I was looking up more information about Class Action as band I was surprised how little there is available on the internet. There very small, one time only, success was in the Netherlands and not bigger then an alarm notation on April 23, 1983.

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean

Total Touch - Touch me there

One of the better Dutch female artists when it comes to singing talent is Trijntje Oosterhuis from Total Touch. Her I’ll say goodbye song made a great intro for the TMF Yearmix of 1998. The more up tempo song Touch me there is still played on the dance floor and the acapella is used in many mix tapes, live sets or mashups.

There are a number of classic house vocals/acapella’s that form a symbol for the soulful sound of house. Most famous is the Who is Jack acapella. Another one that I, unfortunately, don’t hear anymore is In the music from Deep Swing.

Axwell & Bob Sinclar Feat. Ron Caroll - What a wonderful world

Last month Obama finally has become president for the United States of America. The speeches during his run for president reminded me sometimes back to the world famous freedom speech from Martin Luther King. That speech has been used many times in house tracks and live sets by DJs from all over the world and become a major legend. For me it is almost as secret as the Who is jack acapella, of which the lyrics form the constitution of house music.
